How to Create Patterns

1. From the FROST dashboard, click the Building Blocks tab on the top menu of the screen.

Note: If you are working on a project page, you need to navigate back to the FROST landing page first.

2. Navigate to the Patterns tab.
3. Patterns are used to create narrative learning content from scratch or to enhance existing content.

Note: FROST includes a set of predefined patterns but new patterns can easily be created  using basic HTML code.

4. Click Create New Pattern, to open the Add Pattern modal.
5. Enter the required details:
   • Name – Name of the pattern.
   • Type – The type of project for which the pattern is being defined. This includes:
     • EDUPUB – the pattern will be made available while authoring an Edupub/Epub.
     • Online Course – the pattern will be made available while authoring an Online Course.
   • Content -input the HTML code to create the pattern
   • Class -input the CSS class names (optional). Click add to add more classes.
6. Click Confirm to create the new pattern.
7. Click the pattern name to preview the newly created pattern.

Note: Patterns created under Manage Pattern are available for use in the projects only when made ‘active’.
